John MacIver Gage is Pastor at United Church on the Green. He was born and raised in Austin, Texas. He is a graduate of Yale University ('92), and holds a Master of Divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Upon graduation John was named the recipient of the 2000 Pyle-Morgan Fellowship in recognition of "exemplary Christian character, scholarship, and ability" as well as the Class of 2000 Preaching Prize. He was ordained to the ministry of Word and Sacrament in January of 2000, and this is his first call. John's special interests include issues of liturgical renewal, justice for gays and lesbians, and faith and ministry in Postmodern contexts.

Caroline K. Murphy is currently serving as the interim senior minister of United Church on the Green. An ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, she recently completed a six-year pastorate at the West Yarmouth Congregational Church UCC on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and has also served in an interim capacity at the First Congregational Church UCC in Cheshire and at the Christian Union Church in North Truro, MA. Caroline holds a Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School, with a certificate from the Institute of Sacred Music. She also earned her B.A. at Yale, and studied German literature and linguistics at the Universität Augsburg in Germany through a Fulbright scholarship. Caroline's special interests include fostering spiritual development, creating educational opportunities for all ages, and exploring the interconnections between worship and the arts. Above all, she loves worship that inspires, challenges, and makes the heart sing.
Mark Brombaugh is Director of Music and Organist at United Church on the Green. A graduate of Oberlin College and Yale University, he has held church positions in several states in which he directed multiple choirs. Prior to coming to New Haven in 1992 he taught organ, harpsichord and church music at Westminster Choir College (Princeton, NJ) and at the Universities of Illinois and Oregon. Dr. Brombaugh is well-known as an organ and harpsichord recitalist and clinician throughout the United States and is past national secretary of The Organ Historical Society.
